Jill is a Board Certified licensed Physical Therapist and a Certified Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist. She was appointed by two governors to serve on the State Board of Physical Therapy for 8 years and chaired the board for the last three years. Jill worked nationally on the continuing competence committee for the federation of state boards and was the committee chair for two years.
Jill assisted in the development of the “Translatoric Spinal Manipulation” textbook that is currently used in Physical Therapy doctoral educational programs. She has worked as an educator and a clinical resident instructor in the post-doctoral orthopedic manual physical therapy program at Oakland University’s. Jill has worked as a clinical instructor for Grand Valley State, Central Michigan University, Wayne State University, Oakland University, and U of M flint. Jill has developed a residency program here at Peak Performance Physical Therapy with Michigan State University’s Kinesiology Program.
Jill has received numerous clinical and entrepreneur recognition, including: Athena Powerlink 2013, Corp! Economic Bright Spot Award — 2016 and 2017, Entrepreneur of the Year GLBM – 2017, Leadership Lansing in 2017, Goldman Sachs Entrepreneur Award 2018, Ernst & Young Winning Women Entrepreneur of the year for North America 2018. Entrepreneurial Diversity Business Leader in Michigan Corp! 2019, Lansing Regional Chamber Regional Growth Award 2019, Michigan’s Best Small Business MCSB 2020, Awarded TBR top three Physical Therapists in the Mid-Michigan area 2020.
Jill graduated from Wayne State University with her Master’s in Physical Therapy and then went on to complete the Michigan State University Osteopathic Manual Manipulation Education Program and Oakland University Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Program. She is the Chair of the Athena Powerlink Committee and has worked with a wide variety of clientele including professional hockey and football players, Olympic and world-class gymnasts; football, baseball and basketball players; and collegiate and high school athletes from all sports. Jill’s primary areas of expertise are in Orthopedics and Manual physical therapy.
Jill is married to Russ and they are blessed with two children, Carson and Leighton. Jill and Russ are actively involved in their children’s activities and the communities they serve.
