Happy New Year! As we look to establish what the new year will bring, it is important to look at what health, happiness, and longevity look like to you.
There are a million and one tips that are passed down generation to generation about the key to a long and successful life. Some say the secret to a long and happy life is to focus on family; others say it all comes down to finding the right career; others say diet and physical activity is the key. Whatever choices you make in your life, and whatever your values are, there are several fundamental truths that are almost always accurate: To stay healthy, you must stay active, and to stay happy, you must stay balanced.

Does your new year’s resolution include exercising more, eating healthier, sleeping better, or improving your mental health?
Did you know that physical therapy can help you reach these goals? Each of these aspects of your life feed into the amount of energy you have for physical activity and vice versa.
If you’re not receiving enough sleep, you may be too tired to go to the gym. Although, working out and getting physical activity can actually improve regulating your sleep schedule. If you aren’t nourishing your body with a balanced diet, you may not be getting the nutrients to provide the energy you need to maintain your physical activity. However, physical activity can help reduce cravings. Physical activity is proven to improve mental health and elevate one’s mood!
Physical therapy is a great way to improve your physical activity and help bring balance back into your life!
Peak Performance Physical Therapy is here to help you reach your goals for 2024!
