We know the difficulties that come with minimal function and mobility. Our goal is to get our patients back to the daily activities they enjoy. Our priority is our patients, we believe that anything is possible when you have your health.

Does your new year’s resolution include exercising more, eating healthier, sleeping better, or improving your mental health?
Did you know that physical therapy can help you reach these goals? Each of these aspects of your life feed into the amount of energy you have for physical activity and vice versa.
If you’re not receiving enough sleep, you may be too tired to go to the gym. Although, working out and getting physical activity can actually improve regulating your sleep schedule. If you aren’t nourishing your body with a balanced diet, you may not be getting the nutrients to provide the energy you need to maintain your physical activity. However, physical activity can help reduce cravings. Physical activity is proven to improve mental health and elevate one’s mood!
Physical therapy is a great way to improve your physical activity and help bring balance back into your life!
Peak Performance Physical Therapy is here to help you reach your goals for 2023!

Happy New Year! As we look to establish what the new year will bring, it is important to look at what health, happiness, and longevity look like to you.
There are a million and one tips that are passed down generation to generation about the key to a long and successful life. Some say the secret to a long and happy life is to focus on family; others say it all comes down to finding the right career; others say diet and physical activity is the key. Whatever choices you make in your life, and whatever your values are, there are several fundamental truths that are almost always accurate: To stay healthy, you must stay active, and to stay happy, you must stay balanced.
Now, I’m not a big believer in work/life balance as the term is currently discussed in literature. The work-life dichotomy is a bit misleading when we relate it to happiness and longevity. We need to move beyond the notion that work is simply the thing we do for a paycheck, and “life” merely the momentary reprieves between showing up at the office. When we are engaged in family and work that is life-affirming, that is balance!
I do believe, especially us mothers, that you can “DO IT ALL” but just not ALL AT ONCE. Balance does not consist of daily balance but over time there should be stability and balance to your life. Your balance will relate directly to your priorities and goals in life and those are uniquely customized to you! Think about the last time that you sat down and were present, grounded and enjoyed the moment. Whether this was with family doing a puzzle, out for a walk/run, or at work with your colleagues. Being present is key to helping you live a more balanced life.
In addition to finding your mental balance with how you spend your time, becoming more physically balanced is just as important. There are certain markers that typically indicate trouble with maintaining balance, such as irregular sleep, physical activity or diet. Not having balance in these areas can take away from your overall health and longevity and in turn have an impact on your ability to live an engaged and happy life!
Peak Performance Physical Therapy is committed to treating you as the whole person. This approach allows you to find balance, overcome injury and truly Reach Your Peak!
Happiness is a symptom of gratitude! Be grateful for all you do!
Cheers to 2023!
