Jill Marlan Discovered Her Career By Accident.

A Multi-sport Athlete From Grand Ledge, Marlan Attended Lansing Community College (lcc) On A Full-ride Basketball Scholarship In The Early 1990s. At The Time, She Didn’t Know What She Wanted To Study. She Only Knew That She Loved Athletics And That She Had A Knack For Science.

But Then, Something Happened That Changed Everything: She Fractured Her Ankle And Was Through Playing Basketball For The Season.

“I Had To Go Through Physical Therapy And Found Out I Loved It,” Marlan Says. “I Knew Then That Physical Therapy Was The Profession For Me.”

Marlan’s “bad Break” Led Her Down An Occupational Path That Evolved Into Entrepreneurship. Today, The 1995 Allied Health Graduate And Lcc Alumna Has Multiple Advanced Degrees From Wayne State, Michigan State, And Oakland Universities, And Is The Owner And Founder Of Peak Performance Physical Therapy-a Lansing-based Clinic That Specializes In Orthopedics And Sports Physical Therapy. She Also Serves On The Michigan Board Of Physical Therapy, Teaches At Two Of Her Alma Maters, And Has Helped Develop A Text Used In Physical Therapy Doctoral Programs.
